I will no doubt need at least two weeks and perhaps three to mark your classroom tests, so please don't hold your breath. Next week we will move over to questions of immigration and ethnicity. I will begin with the first two big waves of immigration in the modern era - Jewish immigrants and Irish immigrants; This will be followed by West Indian immigration and South Asian immigration, and will be accompanied by a brief history of racism and anti-racism in Britain.
