I hacve started marking your translation test. Here is my suggested translation.
If you are the first to see it, please tell the others where it is.
Of course, many translations are possible, but notice the importance of increasing the number of verbs, and decreasing the frequency of latinate vocabulary. Because the style is fairly informal ("Pas facile de....") I felt that some contractions were acceptable.
Good luck with finding placements. I would be interested to know what you found, and how it is for you. Send me an email...

Remember that the word "biassed" means "favouring one particular position, *especially in a way considered to be unfair*", that is to say "biassed" is a derogatory term in general. Often it will be more appropriate to define documents as "partisan" or "subjective".

For reading, around the subject of Political power and its representation, the problem is not to become an encyclopedia, but I would say the absolute minimum reading (for the British side) would be a general history, a history of the Labour party and a history of the Concervative party.
