In Our Time is a serious popular programme on BBC Radio 4 which deals mostly with the history of ideas. Solidly establishment, but nevertheless fair-minded, would be the way I would describe it. If you like history there are many dozens of programmes to download and listen to, but, for the moment, the programme on Captain Cook is indispensable, to hear one particular British perspective.
