Many analysts think that no party will have more than 50% of the Mps in the Hous eof Commons after the 7th May. If this happens, there are two possibilities. Two parties can form a coalition government, in which the programme should include some of the policies of each of the two parties. Or one party can form a minority government, on their own programme. Then the smaller parties can decide whether the programme is good enough to support, or whether they prefer to have another election only a few weeks later. This article explains some of the present situation.
