CAPES
I was at the meeting yesterday of the Société des Anglicistes de l'Enseignement Supérieur. The president of the jury for the CAPES was explaining the situation about the number of posts available. In 2012, there were around 790 posts available, and 659 people passed the CAPES. That is, the jury felt the standard of the others was not high enough, even though there were more jobs which could have been filled. For 2013, if I understand correctly, there has been an increase of 17% in enrolments. The minstry of education has announced that there will be a substantially higher number of posts available in 2013, *and* in 2014, at least. This is good news for CAPES candidates who are ready to work hard.
